 Vintage Hera Ring I've been saving this vintage turquoise cameo for a few years. Because I didn't know how to best show it off. And then it came to me: this is Hera, goddess of women and marriage, and she can do all the showing off herself. No need to be set off by beads or bows. She's a strong woman and needs no extra accoutrements. So here she is. Hera is set on a very high-quality sterling-plated adjustable band. (The adjustable portion is hidden under the plastic stone). And just when I was doubting the namesake, I read that Hera's symbol is a peacock. Meant to be, I tell you. Totally inspired. :) |
